训诂学[ xùn gǔ xué ]：

⒈ 中国传统的主要以研究古代书面语言为内容的专门学问。旧时只将它看作是“小学”的一个部门，如今有发展成为一门有科学体系的汉语语义学的倾向。其著作大体有两类。一类是专为解释某部经典著作而写的；一类是搜集词语，分类编次，解释其意义的。前者如《论语注疏》、《孟子注疏》等；后者如《尔雅》、《方言》、《说文解字》、《释名》等。
