⒈ 六书之一。指字由“形”和“声”两部分合成，形旁有关意义，声旁有关读音。如由形旁“氵(水)”和声旁“胡”合成“湖”。形声字占汉字总数的百分之八十以上。也叫“谐声”

⒈ 六书中的形声字。由音符与意符组合而成，意符表形，音符表声。如江、河二字，从水取义，以工、可分标其声。汉·许慎〈说文解字序〉：「形声者，以事为名，取譬相成。」即指其以事类为主，再取其声组合而成。也称为「谐声」、「象声」。
